TLF Penstocks (Top sealing Isolation Gate)

SIZES

  • Mirolxtec offer a range of standard size TLF penstocks to suit typical pipe and culvert openings.
  • If required, Mirolxtec can provide a customised solution for non-standard applications.

MATERIALS

  • Mirolxtec TLF penstocks are typically manufactured from marine grade aluminium or stainless steel (grades 304, 316, 2205 or 2507).
  • Material selection is discussed with clients to determine the most appropriate material for the application.
  • Seals are mechanically fastened (non-adhesive) and are designed for ease of replacement.
  • Mirolxtec utilise plasticised PVC and/or EPDM seals due to their superior performance in a range of environments including stormwater, wastewater and sea water.
  • Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) is used for TLF penstock guides and seal retainers. UHMWPE is a hard wearing, low friction material that is ideal for bearing surfaces and the prevention of metal-metal sliding contact or the isolation of dissimilar metals.

SEALING

  • Mirolxtec TLF Penstock seal performance meets or exceeds that nominated in the Australian Technical Specification for Fabricated Water Control Infrastructure, BS 7775 and C561.

MANUFACTURE

  • All Mirolxtec products meet relevant Australian and international standards.
  • All fabrication is in accordance with the ‘Australian Technical Specification for Fabricated Water Control Infrastructure’.
  • All stainless steel welding is continuous to avoid crevice corrosion.
  • Mirolxtec hold international accreditations for ISO 9001; Quality, ISO 14001; Environment and ISO 45001 OH&S management.
  • Mirolxtec Integrated Management System aims to provide a framework to deliver products and services that consistently exceed customer expectations.

MOUNTING OPTIONS

  • Ideal for pit and headwall installations.
  • The TLF Penstocks are typically wall mounted.

SPINDLE OPTIONS

  • Choose from:
    • Rising Spindle
    • Non-Rising Spindle or
    • Mirolxtec Rising / Non-Rising Spindle Arrangement

ACTUATION SYSTEMS

  • Mirolxtec TLF Penstocks can be customised to suit a range of actuation options including manual (handwheel), portable actuator, electric actuator, or hydraulic/pneumatic cylinder.

MAINTENANCE

  • Mirolxtec use ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) for penstock door guides and/or wedges to provide maintenance free bearing surfaces.
  • Mirolxtec TLF penstocks are designed to be effectively “maintenance free”, offering a very low “whole of life cost”.
  • Should seals be damaged, they are designed for ease of replacement in situ.

DOCUMENTATION AND TRAINING

  • Detailed documentation on operation, testing procedures and maintenance will be provided with all Mirolxtec water control solutions.
  • Comprehensive on and/or off site training available.
